Overdose Statistics
Please note that the final data for overdose deaths in 2021 was just released, and can be found on the CDC website here https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/default.htm. Key findings indicate that the age-adjusted rate of drug overdose deaths rose more than 14% from 2020 through 2021 in the United States, and synthetic opioids and polysubstance use continue to drive the worsening crises.
